# Plans & billing

> Spyro AI's free trial and paid plans, what you get, how to upgrade or change plans, and where to see your usage for the month - explained simply.

Spyro AI uses a simple credit-based model: every plan includes a monthly credit pool that powers paid actions like writing articles, checking AI citations, and running competitor research. This page explains the plans, how credits work, and how to manage billing.

## Start with a free trial

New accounts begin with a **3-day free trial** that includes **500 credits** and a quota of **1 article** generation - enough to take the AI writer and other paid features for a spin. When the trial ends, you'll choose a plan to keep going.

## The plans

Spyro AI offers three straightforward plans to fit your scale — from solo indie founders to high-volume agencies. All plans are available on **monthly** or **yearly** billing.

## Credits - how they work

Every plan includes one **org-wide credit pool** shared across all your workspaces. Paid actions like writing articles, checking citations, and running competitor scans draw from this pool, with no per-feature quotas to juggle.

Credits reset monthly on your billing date. Unused trial credits are cleared when you subscribe.

### Plan feature comparison

* **Tracked AI engines**: Starter tracks **2** engines (ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews). Pro and Agency track all **5** engines (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini).
* **Prompt check frequency**: Weekly checks across tracked engines (daily option available).
* **Keyword tracking**: Daily or weekly rank updates.
* **Team members**: **Unlimited** on all plans.
* **Audits & crawls**: **Free and unlimited** on all plans.
* **Publishing integrations**: Direct one-click publishing to WordPress (self-hosted), Shopify, and custom Webhooks.

## Where to see your credit balance

You can check your credits in two places:

* **Sidebar**: The bottom of the sidebar shows your credits used / monthly limit. Hover the meter to see that the pool is shared across all your workspaces.
* **Billing page**: Go to **Settings → Plan & billing** to see credits used this cycle and your next reset date.

> During your trial, the sidebar shows your 500-credit trial allowance instead of the monthly plan figure.

## Running out of credits

If a paid action would exceed your remaining credits, Spyro AI blocks it and shows how many credits you need. You can upgrade your plan or wait for your monthly reset. There is no self-serve credit top-up; for higher volumes, choose a higher plan or contact sales for a Custom plan.

## Upgrade or change your plan

**1. Open Plan & billing**

Go to your account settings and open **Plan & billing**.

**2. Pick a plan**

Choose Starter, Pro, or Agency, monthly or yearly. Spyro AI opens a secure checkout for you to pay.

**3. Change it any time**

Already subscribed? Adjust your plan or billing cycle and Spyro AI updates it on the spot.

**4. Manage your billing**

Use **Manage billing** to update your card, download invoices, and review your subscription.

> Billing covers your whole organisation, not a single workspace. Only org owners and admins can change the plan or billing details. Other team members will see a message to contact the org owner.
